Usher Returns With New Album Announcement & Two Brand New Tracks

Mr. Entertainment is ready to re-enter the spotlight.

The man who taught us all how to U-Turn Usher is set to come back with his first new album since 2012’s Looking 4 Myself next month. The brand new LP is entitled Hard II Love and is scheduled to drop into our laps on Friday, 16th September.

“Four years ago, I put an album out, and now, after some ups, some downs… but officially tonight, my new album Hard II Love goes up for pre-order,” the reformed Voice judge and Cleveland Cavaliers owner told Rolling Stone, adding that the album’s cover art depicts an imperfect sculpture of himself.

“That is a bust of me done by [artist] Daniel Arsham,” he said.

And to drive home the new announcement, Big Ush has also sliced off not one but two new LP tracks for our listening pleasure.

The first is a theatrical R&B creeper called Missin U, while the second is a surging Latin-infused acoustic ballad entitled Champions, which features in the upcoming boxing movie Hands of Stone, where Usher stars as the great Sugar Ray Leonard.

Give ’em both a spin below.
