The Vance Joy drip-feed continues. The singer-songwriter who claimed hearts Australia-wide in 2013 and is now busy converting followers overseas — check his recent spot at Lollapalooza — has shared the latest track to be taken from his upcoming album, Dream Your Life Away, First Time.
The track follows the release of Vance Joy’s highly-anticipated new singles Mess Is Mine and the powerful My Kind of Man. The new single has the Melbourne singer-songwriter once again trading in his famous ukelele for an acoustic guitar to present a bittersweet depiction of heartbreak.
The track recalls the candidness, shuffling rhythms, and soaring falsettos of the track that first made listeners fall in love with the 25-year-old James Keogh, the Hot 100-topping Riptide. It’s sure to be a highlight of Dream Your Life Away, which is currently slated for release Friday, 5th September.
