Watch 1,000 People Cover David Bowie & White Stripes Classics Together

Italy’s self-proclaimed “biggest rock band on earth”, Rockin’1000, have shared an official video of their performance of David Bowie’s Diamond Dogs classic Rebel Rebel, while footage of the over 1,000-strong group playing The White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army has also surfaced.

Over a recent weekend, Rockin’1000 held a concert at Orogel Stadium in Cesena, Italy, where they performed the two songs along with a string of others.

“Last year, we did something extraordinary,” Rockin’1000 founder Fabio Zaffagnini told the audience during the performance (Via Rolling Stone).

“Someone called it a revolution. But this, what you’re seeing here behind me: this is the revolution. Musicians from all over the world came together and are giving us an incredible live show.

“They’re just like themselves, but they perform like rock stars, with no one standing out – showing us that with passion, dedication and fucking hard work, we can transform our lives. So stick together, no more conflicts and play rock n’ roll.”

Rockin’1000 have previously performed huge renditions of Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit and the Foo Fighters classic Learn To Fly. Watch them play Rebel Rebel and Seven Nation Army, below.
