Watch Alex The Astronaut Perform ‘I Think You’re Great’ At Riverstage In Brisbane

Alex the Astronaut performed her The Theory of Absolutely Nothing track ‘I Think You’re Great’ from an empty Riverstage in Brisbane as part of The Sound‘s Making Gravy Christmas special. The episode aired last night and also served as the ABC live music program’s season finale.

The episode also featured unseen footage from Paul Kelly‘s 2019 ‘Making Gravy’ show at the Domain in Sydney – which Music Feeds was present at. It’s all a little bit full circle for Alex Lynn – the singer-songwriter covered Kelly’s ‘If I Could Start Again Today’ for Like a Version back in 2017. The following year, Kelly joined her onstage during a show at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne, with the duo performing a cover of David Bowie classic ‘Space Oddity’.

Other performers last night included Teskey BrothersBaker BoyDallas WoodsSampa The GreatBall Park MusicAlex The Astronaut and Kelly’s own good friends and frequent collaborators, Vika & Linda. Alex Lahey delivered a performance of her recent Christmas single, a cover of The Ramones’ ‘Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)’.
