Watch: ‘American Juggalo’ Documentary

For those of you who are unfamiliar, here is a crash course for you in the subculture of the Juggalo and Juggalette. Taking inspiration from the rap crew Insane Clown Posse, the concept has become a worldwide trend, resulting in festivals that are entirely devoted to it.

The below doco goes way deeper into the scene than most people will ever see, giving quite a lot of insight where before there was really none. Referring to eachother as ‘family’, the footage shows what is pretty much a massive bender of a festival in the woods. People from all walks of life are interviewed, including hippie junkies, junkies sitting in cars, barely legal junkies, people who are apparently training to be doctors, and even people with real families. Some decided it was a good idea to even bring their children.

Though many aren’t at festivals, they’re up to something different altogether. The FBI now classifies Juggalo as a major transcontinental gang network, according to Ology.

So keep that in mind when you watch the doco; you’ll learn something and also have a deep laugh and potentially a new catch phrase. It’s HD quality and shot really well, making it an easy watch all round. It’ll definitely give you something to talk about with your local Juggalo.
