Watch Axl Rose Carry On Through A Piano Malfunction During A Guns N’ Roses Gig

Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose is known for having a temper but he showed quite the opposite when his piano malfunctioned during a performance in Houston.

He was in the midst of November Rain when the piano sound seemed to cut out. “What the fuck was that,” he’s heard saying in a fan video, before continuing on with the song.

He eventually stops the whole song reiterating once more, “What the fuck was that?”

Despite the expletives, he’s actually quite calm about the whole thing, laughing and genuinely trying to figure out what’s going on.

“Can we stop it at least?” Rose says before further asking, “Wow, the piano is broken. So, do you have a suggestion, then?”

They carry on the song with Slash bringing it home with a howling guitar solo before Rose brings up the piano once again.

“I don’t mind ghosts and gremlins,” he laughs, “but they should probably learn the fucking song.”

It’s a new, more relaxed side to Rose but as Ultimate Classic Rock points out, a reviewer at the Houston Press noted that he was a changed man.

“Twenty-five years ago, he would have thrown the bench into the crowd and (probably) called us assholes,” Pete Vonder Haar wrote.

“Last night, he only briefly halted the song before continuing with the muted keyboard. Let’s hear it for maturity.”

Watch the malfunction from the 4:57 mark.
