Watch Damon Albarn Refuse To Stop Performing, Get Carried Off Stage By Security

Over the weekend, Blur frontman and Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn got a little ~carried away~ at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival, and had to be forcibly removed by security after refusing to stop his marathon five-hour set.

As Pitchfork reports, Albarn performed at the festival with the Africa Express project, and even gifted the audience with a cover of The Clash’s Should I Stay Or Should I Go, featuring Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Nick Zinner.

That’s not all he got up to, though.

At 4am, Albarn was reportedly told by event organisers that he needed to stop, but he (of course) starting encouraging the crowd to cheer so that he could keep going. Remember: this is just after he performed a song which is literally titled Should I Stay Or Should I Go.

“Fuck what everyone says. You want more, we’re going to give you more,” Albarn announced. The crowd (of course) went nuts, and security came out and literally picked Albarn up and carried him off stage.

Catch footage of Albarn’s brush with festival security as well as his Clash cover and revival of a Gorillaz classic, below.

Blur are set to arrive in the country in the coming weeks for Splendour In The Grass 2015, as well as three huge Splendour sideshows with Jamie T.
