Briggs released new EP Always Was last week. It’s an excellent addition to the rapper’s catalogue, anchored by its Thelma Plum collaboration ‘Go To War‘.
If you’ve not taken the time to listen yet and need a little convincing, beloved comedian Eric Andrew has the testimonial for you. In a new video posted to Briggs’ social media, Andre appears in a retro-styled ad to spruik the release.
“There is a new Briggs EP out. I think it is fantastic. I haven’t even heard it, and I think it is amazing, I think it is fantastic, I think it is beautiful,” Andre says. “I think that Donald Trump will have an aneurysm when it graces his little fucking eardrums. Briggs will save humanity.”

Andre isn’t the only one to throw his support behind Always Was. Comedian Nazeem Hussain and The Bachelor rose-wrangler Osher Günsberg have both also filmed similarly-styled testimonials.
“It’s a beautiful record full of fantastic tracks to bring just a little taste of Briggsy activism into your daily shopping trip, bar mitzvah or Reclaim Australia rally,” says the latter during his video.
“It’s also good for when you’re taking the kids for a drive – around and around the interior of the five kilometre radius that you’re allowed to travel outside of your home here in Victoria.”
