Watch Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins Go Full 80’s In His New Solo Music Vid

Foo Fighters‘ drum ninja Taylor Hawkins has taken retro to its logical conclusion, capitalising on the mass unease of our newly Trumpified world by punching out a music video that is, from start to finish, a full blown 80’s nostalgia-gasm.

Allow Tay Tay to transport you back to a simpler time, a world of VCRs, cassette tapes and crappy special effects in the official clip for Range Rover Bitch, the funka-rockin’ lead single from his recently released solo LP, KOTA (AKA”King of the Assholes”).

In the clip, a handlebar mo-sporting Hawkins busts 80’s power-moves from amid a smoke machine-fuelled haze, as Beta image splicing effects, artfully dodgy vintage scene transitions and an inexplicable zebra run rampant.

“Liam Lynch did an incredible job on the Range Rover Bitch video,” the drummer-turned-frontman tells Rolling Stone Mag. “I think our shared love of that pre-MTV late ’70s/very early ’80s direct-to-video late night television Don Kirshner/Midnight Special vibe really shines through on this video. He really captured that Kim Carnes, Nick Gilder feel.”
