Recently in town for Splendour In The Grass, English singer-songwriter Jake Bugg has performed a cover of Haim‘s hit single If I Could Change Your Mind as part of triple j‘s weekly covers segment Like A Version.
Bugg’s take on If I Could Change Your Mind (below) is almost unrecognisable when compared to the original, and sees him turn the song into something resembling a Dylan-esque folk track, complete with two acoustic guitars.
Bugg says he chose the song because he was “a bit stuck for time” and needed to make a decision at the last minute, but he definitely used his time well.
While in the triple j studios, Bugg also perform his original song Gimme The Love, which appears on his latest album, On My One. Catch both performances in full, below.
