The release of James Blake’s second album, Overgrown, is fast approaching and now we’ve got a Sydney-related promo trailer to whet our appetites for the heavily hyped follow-up to his debut 2011 LP.
This new clip uses footage from Blake’s recent gig at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music during last month’s sold-out 2-date Australian promo tour. For those of us who missed Blake in March, the English musician was happy to announce while he was in town that he will return to our shores this year for Splendour in the Grass 2013.
Blake recently offered up Overgrown’s closing track, Our Love Comes Back, as a free download in the lead-up to the album’s release and with that track, the previously released Digital Lion and runaway single Retrograde, we can already hear that it’s fixing to be a huge year for Blake off the strength of Overgrown.
Overgrown is set to drop this Friday, 5th April, and the deluxe edition is currently available for preorder via iTunes.
