Rock lovers’ prayers have been answered, with Jack White and Josh Homme performing onstage together for the first time ever over the weekend.
White’s band The Raconteurs (officially known as The Saboteurs here in Oz for legal purposes) are currently on tour in support of their first album in 11 years, Help Us Stranger, which was released back in June. Last week, the band performed in Los Angeles, and they brought a special guest with them. Homme joined the band for their encore, playing Broken Boy Soliders cut ‘Blue Veins’.
As Consequence of Sound reports, last week White appeared as a guest on the Queen of the Stone Age frnotman’s Alligator Hour radio show, where they discussed topics such as “identity politics”, “hipsters vs. hillbillies”, and “mob mentality”.
Watch The Raconteurs (plus Homme) perform ‘Blue Veins’ below via some sneaky fan-shot footage (White has made his position on mobile phones and recording devices at shows very clear in the past, banning them on the band’s recent Aussie dates back in April.)
