Watch Mick Jagger & David Bowie Dancing In The Street Without Music

Mick Jagger and David Bowie‘s 1985 Dancing in the Street video has always been delightfully silly, but remove the music entirely and replace it with a few choice sound effects and the silliness gets amped up to an even higher degree.

Audio engineer Mario Wienerroither cracked this code early on and has already built up a sizeable following with his series of music-less music videos. As their name suggests, Wienerroither gets his kicks reinventing popular music clips by taking away the songs and adding in sound effects of his own.

Amongst his other projects, Wienerroither has produced music-less videos for Nirvana‘s Smells Like Teen Spirit, The Prodigy‘s Firestarter, Queen‘s I Want To Break Free and has given us a better idea of what it would have been like to be on set for Ok Go‘s iconic treadmill video, Here It Goes Again.

His latest accomplishment uses the 1985 Dancing in the Street video made by Mick Jagger and David Bowie for Live Aid. Complete with Jagger blowing raspberries and Bowie doing his best Tarzan impersonation, it’s a pretty accurate representation of the two rock icons at their weirdest.
