Watch Sam Smith And Disclosure’s Flawless Cover Of Drake’s ‘Hotline Bling’

Disclosure and Sam Smith know they’re the perfect pairing and they’re milking it for all it’s worth, this time teaming-up for a flawless cover of Drake’s Hotline Bling.

For BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge, which is the same sort of deal as triple j‘s Like A Version, Smith and Disclosure added some club vibes to the latest Drake hit with a throbbing beat and soulful vocal.

Interestingly, Hotline Bling is actually a re-work of Cha Cha, a song by US newcomer D.R.A.M which shot into the public sphere when Beyoncé endorsed it via Instagram.

This is the second time we’ve heard Smith and Disclosure on a track together this year. Smith appears on Omen which is due to appear on their forthcoming record Caracal which also features big-name guests Lorde, Miguel and The Weeknd.

Including Omen, Disclosure have already released five songs from the record – Holding On with Gregory Porter, Hourglass with Lion Babe, Willing & Able with Kwabs and more recently Jaded, featuring Howard Lawrence himself on vocals.

Smith recently confirmed he has recorded the new theme song for the next James Bond film SPECTRE. The song, titled Writing’s On The Wall will be released later this month, meanwhile Smith will tour Australia this November and December.

You can watch the cover of Hotline Bling below. Also, is it just us or are the Disclosure brothers and Sam Smith starting to look scarily alike?
