Bonnaroo 2014 took over Manchester, Tennessee this past weekend and the centrepiece of everyone’s discussions is Skrillex‘s massive SuperJam. The dubstep giant led a mammoth, all-star jam that featured the likes of Janelle Monae, Warpaint, and a surprise set from Lauryn Hill.
This year’s event featured three of the festival’s famous SuperJams, with the other two hosted by Derek Trucks and comedian Ed Helms, respectively. Skrillex’s three-hour jam ran until 3:30am and saw each of the guests come out for short sets as Skrillex acted as bandleader of the whole shindig.
According to Consequence of Sound, the setlist consisted mostly of covers, with Monae performing renditions of Michael Jackson’s Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ and James Brown’s I Feel Good, Warpaint taking on Technotronic’s Pump up the Jam and David Bowie’s Let’s Dance, A$AP Ferg doing The Notorious B.I.G.‘s Juicy, and Mystikal performing their hits, including Shake Ya Ass.
