How does Sticky Fingers’ frontman Dylan Frost celebrate the end of a tour? By beating the shit out of his guitar, that’s how!
On Sunday, 12th October, the Sydney psych rock band were closing out the encore at Melbourne’s 170 Russell, their third consecutive sold-out show, when Frost began to whale away on speakers and stage alike.
As you can see in the clip below, Frost’s guitar wasn’t going to give up on life so easily. The vocalist summoned all of his rock ‘n’ roll rage, absolutely flogging his axe and whipping the Melbourne crowd into a screaming frenzy, until, at last, the neck finally snaps. That’s how it’s done, kids.
Such antics come as little surprise from the band that was recently evicted and banned from the Union Club Hotel in Wagga Wagga. Sticky Fingers allegedly trashed sound equipment and urinated on the venue’s balcony, among other theatrics. At least they’re consistent.
