UPDATE: The Weeknd has now announced his first-ever Australian tour for December 2017.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Weeknd has revealed the dates for the first phase of what is shaping up to be an absolutely mammoth world tour next year.
Following the impending release of his new album Starboy – due out Friday, 25th September, The Weeknd will jet off around Europe before coming back home to play a bunch of North American shows.
It’s a pretty inclusive string of dates, and will take in shows in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Vancouver, and predictably a heap of shows all around the USA – wrapping up in June 2017.
The most promising part of the announcement was that when posting the new dates to Twitter, The Weeknd said that these shows were just “Phase 1” of the world tour, leaving the door very much open for dates in Australia in the second half of next year.
