Having kicked off the summer with Seth Sentry, Channel [V] continue their series of Sydney Harbour [V] Island Parties with none other than American independent hip hop duo and winners of triple j’s Hottest 100, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
On the strength of their massive hit single Thrift Shop, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis beat out the likes of Alt-J, Of Monsters And Men and Tame Impala to claim the number 1 spot in The Hottest 100 for 2012. Proving to be more than 1-hit wonders, the duo also entered the countdown at #15 with Same Love, taken from their debut album The Heist.
