Yacht Club DJs Will Split At The End Of 2014

Just days before they’re set to play between Kelis and Childish Gambino at Splendour In The Grass 2014, Yacht Club DJs have announced that 2014 will be their last year as a duo. The Ballarat dance outfit made the announcement via their Facebook page, thanking fans for their support.

“We’ve been talking about this for a while and we’ve decided that 2014 is going to be the last year of Yacht Club DJs,” reads the official statement from YCDJs’ Guy Chappell and Gaz Harrison. “It’s been an unbelievable ride, but we both feel like it’s time to put our focus on to other endeavours.”

The two DJ-slash-producers go on to insist that they are currently in the midst of planning “one last massive jaunt around the country” to celebrate and party with their Australian fans one last time, adding, “because it’s been you more than anyone that has made this job the best experience ever!”

The band unveiled their first official release, an EP titled No. 1, earlier this year, which was released to acclaim from fans. Music Feeds was lucky enough to have the duo debut the release with us and even have Harrison give our readers an in-depth, track-by-track walkthrough of the No. 1 EP.
