You Can Watch Ziggy Ramo Perform ‘Black Thoughts’ From The Opera House, Via Livestream

Ziggy Ramo is blessing us with a livestreamed performance of his debut album Black Thoughts later this month. We’ll get to see the performance go down in the Sydney Opera House, fit with a 10-piece band and visuals from Kami Barni.

The performance comes as part of the Sydney Opera House’s From Our House To Yours series. You can watch it for free here.

Ziggy Ramo’s Black Thoughts is his debut album and an important, poignant release. Ramo had completed this album back in 2015, before shelving the album. He released the album on Friday, 5th June — coinciding with Australia’s Black Lives Matter rallies.

“When I wrote this album I didn’t think I’d be alive to see it released. It’s surreal to think that I’ll now get to put this message on such an iconic stage. I’m humbled to be allowed to share my story on Gadigal Country. I hope this performance can create further conversations that Australia needs to have,” he said.

“Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.”

We included Black Thoughts in our The 20 Best Albums Of 2020, So Far.
