Young Thug Shares Taste Of New Punk Album In Tiny Desk Performance

Coming to us from The Houdini Estate in Los Angeles is Young Thug for a very punk Tiny Desk (Home) Concert for NPR. Joined by a full band, the rapper played a collection of new songs.

Dressed in pink, the rapper performed new songs ‘Die Slow’, ‘Droppin Jewels’, ‘Hate The Game’ and ‘Tick Tock’. For the closing track ‘Ski’, Travis Barker joined the live band on the drums.

Thug is preparing to release a punk album aptly titled Punk on Friday, 15th October.

In an official statement accompanying the release of the performance, Thug said his new era will focus on “authenticity, consciousness and overall purity.”

He’s currently off the back of his latest record Slime Language 2, which featured Gunna and the Young Stoner Life collective.
