US dream-pop impressionist Youth Lagoon has announced a run of sideshows to coincide with his appearance at Laneway Festival 2014. Playing shows in Sydney and Melbourne, this will be Youth Lagoon’s first Australian appearance since the release of sophomore LP, Wondrous Bughouse.
Critically lauded for his heady take on psychedelic pop, with lyrics dealing with issues of psychological dysphoria and psychic distress, Trevor Powers first made head spin with 2011’s The Year Of Hibernation, which was praised for its lush sonic palette.
Now with a second album under his belt, this unique artist, who hails from Boise, Idaho, will be bringing his dreamy and atmospheric vision back Down Under for shows at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne’s own Prince Bandroom. Readers can check below for all details.
