Basement Announce 2025 Australian Tour

Basement have announced their first Australian headlining shows for nearly six years, expanding their east-coast run as headliners of this year’s New Bloom Fest with five new shows. The new run of dates follows on from their previous visit circa April 2019, where they undertook a co-headlining run with The Story So Far. The full list of dates, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.

The Ipswich-born and now partially US-based band went into hibernation not long after their last Australian tour, with a final run of dates supporting Weezer and the Pixies across North America. The band was later revived in 2022 to perform at that year’s Outbreak Fest, and later reformed permanently in late 2023 with the announcement of new tour dates and festival appearances.

Basement – ‘Promise Everything’

In addition to performing in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne, Basement will also perform in Newcastle for the first time since their 2016 tour with Turnover and in Wollongong for the first time since 2014. Following their headlining shows, they will undertake the 72-hour New Bloom run: The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane on Saturday March 8th, the UNSW Roundhouse in Sydney on Sunday March 9th and The Timberyard in Melbourne on Monday March 10th – which falls on Labour Day.

They will be joined at New Bloom by Balance & Composure (who just announced their own shows alongside fellow New Bloom band Glitterer), Drain (who also announced shows in Hobart and the Sunshine Coast with One Step Closer) and Sweet Pill – who are making their Australian debut.
