Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler Surprises And Jams With Two Street Performers

Aersomith frontman Steven Tyler recently surprised two Lithuanian street musicians when he ambled by and began singing and scatting over an accordion-violin rendition of Aerosmith’s hit 1994 ballad Crazy, and it seems he either can’t remember the lyrics or simply loves himself some scat.

A characteristically dishevelled and slightly androgynous Tyler is currently in the middle of an Aerosmith European tour, which could explain his lack of singing or attempts to hit the right notes in the song – it’s to protect the vocals that saw him place in the top five greatest ranges in music.

Tyler’s range of a D2, which he hit on 1987’s St John, to an E6, which he in fact hit during the recording of Crazy, put him in league with other top fivers like Axl Rose, Mariah Carey, Prince, and James Brown, and placed him well ahead of icons like Marvin Gaye, Elton John, and Tina Turner.
