Everclear Partner With Windows 10 For New Album

While U2‘s recent iTunes-exclusive release of their latest album, Songs of Innocence, has had its detractors, some artists have been inspired by the record’s novel rollout method. Among them are alt-rock veterans Everclear, who’ve announced they’ve partnered with Microsoft to unveil their next album.

Much like Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, who recently told Billboard that he was “immensely” inspired by the way U2 distributed their new album, praising their “attempt to reinvent the wheel”, the Irish rockers have inspired Everclear to release their forthcoming album as part of the upcoming Windows 10.

But the clip below does a bang-up job of satirising many of Windows’ infamous foibles. There’s even a cameo from Clippy!
