Falls Festival 2015/2016 Lineup Announced

It’s here — Falls Festival has made its first lineup for its 2015/2016 shenanigans, and has dropped big names like Bloc Party, Foals, Disclosure, Courtney Barnett and Gary Clark Jr.

Other esteemed international acts on Falls’ first lineup announcement include Halsey, Django Django, Kurt Vile And The Violators, Mac DeMarco, Young Fathers  , Toro y Moi, BØRNS and The Maccabees – who pretty much confirmed their spot on the lineup just last week.

Representing Australia at Falls will be local legends like Alpine, Birds Of Tokyo, Gang Of Youths, Hiatus Kaiyote, Hilltop Hoods , King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Little May, Meg Mac, RÜFÜS, Seth Sentry, Paul Kelly & Merri Soul Sessions and more.

Organisers have also announced the lineup for the festival’s opening party, Boogie Nights, which this year will be led by singer, songwriter, parodist, record producer, satirist, and all round legend ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic.

He’ll be joined by Sydney trio Art Vs Science, DJ collective and London “re-edit project”, Fleetmac Wood and the man known as the “Mexican Elvis” El Vez.

The annual New Year’s Eve event is returning to its longtime homes Marion Bay, Lorne as well as Byron Bay in late December and early January.

The festival’s ticket ballot is now open and registrations close on Friday August 14. There will be general sale for those who miss out in the ticket ballot, starting at 9am AEST on Wednesday August 26th.
