Rob Thomas is continuing his 20-plus year love affair with Australian audiences, announcing plans to return to our shores for a solo tour in 2016.
The beloved Matchbox Twenty frontman turned solo artist is coming our way for a unique selection of headlining tour dates next February and March.
Touring in support of his first new solo album in six years, The Great Unknown, Thomas’s summer tour will include a special night under the stars, dubbed ‘On The Steps’ at the Sydney Opera House, plus three winery shows – including at A Day On The Green in Queensland and Victoria – as well as a headlining Melbourne arena performance and two other shows in Perth and Canberra.
But Adelaide fans haven’t been forgotten either, with the singer set to give a special headlining performance at the Clipsal 500 post-race concert on Sunday, March 6th.
“I’ll be playing some of the new stuff, some of the old stuff, a little bit of everything, it’s pretty exciting,” Thomas said of his The Great Unknown World Tour.
Joining the Robbenator on all dates will be Aussie troubadour Pete Murray, together with Powderfinger’s Darren Middleton at the three winery shows.
Tickets to Rob Thomas’s 2016 Australian tour go on sale to the general public from 10am Wednesday, November 25th, with a special pre-sale for fan club members and Telstra customers.
