Looks Like Cher Is Coming Down Under To Headline Mardi Gras 2018

Permission to soil your sequin-studded undies is officially GRANTED because it looks a damn hell lot like the one and only CHER will be coming to Australia in 2018 to perform at the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras parade.

After Fairfax last week penned a scoop speculating that a contract for the 71-year-old gay icon to headline the globally famed pride festivus was close to being a done deal, now Cher herself has basically confirmed the rumours with an emoji-stuffed tweet:

Yep. If “#PutSomeShimpOmTheBar[bee-emoji]” isn’t a bonafide thumbs-up that Cher will be strutting her glitteringly fabulous stuff down Oxford Street in March then we dunno what is.

Especially since she’s already professed an extreme keenness to tour Australia in 2018.

And with 2018 marking the 40th anniversary of Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and the first parade since marriage equality was legalised in Australia, it’d basically be a crime to have anyone else but the pop kween herself do the honours.

BELIEVE.
