Listen: Angels And Airwaves Offer New Single ‘Diary’

While they are currently heads down, working away on their new album, Angels and Airwaves have today unleashed their first new ditty. While it’s not confirmed, it’s looking good that Diary is the first sound from the yet-to-be-named album.

It just wouldn’t be Angels and Airwaves if the song didn’t have a huge intro and an insane build-up. Both boxes are checked in Diary, which at a massive 7:30 long, is nothing short of an epic. About 3/4 of the song is the build-up to the final 1/4. And once again, 3/4 of the song would be instrumental, but when it all hits and the climax happens, it reveals a band who are back in perfect form.

The song is illusive and super vague and therefore acts perfectly as bait for the full release, that is, should it be included on the album and not associated with any other project. However, knowing Angels and Airwaves, chances are we’ll see Diary as an intro, atmospheric track for the follow-up to Love II, the band’s last album. Love II was released independently through the band’s own record label, To The Stars, according to Dying Scene, so chances are #3 will get the same service.

Stay tuned for more album updates.
