2016 Coachella Lineup Announced, Guns N’ Roses Reunion Made Official

The 2016 reunion of the classic Guns N’ Roses lineup has been one of the worst kept secrets of all time, and it’s now become official with the release of the 2016 Coachella Festival lineup, which features two headline sets from the Gunners themselves.

The reunion of GNR members Slash, Axl Rose and Duff McKagan has been rumoured for months, and culminated last week when inside sources said the band were due to play Coachella and a stadium tour this year. Rose and Slash last played a GNR show together in July 1993.

This year’s Coachella lineup (which is huge, of course) also features the return of LCD Soundsystem, who were last week reported to have locked in a Coachella appearance to mark their return to the stage.

Coachella’s 2016 Aussie contingent includes singer-songwriter Sia and producer extraordinaire Flume, as well as Nina Las Vegas, Courtney Barnett, RÜFÜS (under their RÜFÜS DU SOL guise) and DMA’s.

Elsewhere, the likes of Ellie Goulding, Ice Cube, Disclosure, CHVRCHES, Major Lazer and Beach House have also scored themselves some time on a Coachella stage. Catch this year’s lineup in full, below.

Last year’s Coachella festival featured the likes of AC/DC, Jack White, Drake, Florence + The Machine, alt-J, Kimbra, The War On Drugs, Steely Dan and The Weeknd.
