As I Lay Dying Frontman Bailed After Not-Guilty Plea As Domestic Concerns Emerge

More details on the strange private life of As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis are starting to emerge following his charges of solicitation to commit murder. According to divorce papers filed by his wife Meggan, the alleged target of his would-be murder conspiracy, Lambesis was throwing money at high-end vehicles, obsessed with bodybuilding and failing to take proper care of their three adopted children.

Court documents uncovered by San Diego Union Tribune have revealed that there were serious tensions between the couple, who shared three adopted children from Ethopia aged 4, 8 and 10. She said Lambesis had fallen asleep while supervising the children around water and would constantly ignore them while using his phone.

It was alleged that Lambesis, who currently lives with his parents on their property located in an upstate Del Mar country club, blew thousands of dollars on tattoos for himself last year and owned two high-end Harley Davidson motorcycles.

His estranged wife also said in the papers that her husband would be away for 6 months of the year on tour, and recently made two last-minute stop offs to see his current girlfriend in Florida, managing to spend around 10 hours a week with the children once he was home. Meggan cited “irreconcilable differences” after 8 years of marriage.

Lambesis was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly soliciting an undercover detective to kill his estranged wife. The singer yesterday entered a not guilty plea and was granted bail, originally set for $20 million, however the amount was reduced to $3 million once his defense attorney argued that the sum was unreasonable. The frontman is facing a maximum sentence of 9 years hard time if found guilty.
