Australia Froths As 48 New Acts Join The 2017 Download Festival Lineup

Download Festival has added almost 50 new acts to its killer UK lineup for 2017, including some homegrown Aussie talent.

48 new bands have joined the mega Download Festival roster, including the likes of A Day To Remember, Steel Panther, Baroness, In Flames, Suicidal Tendencies, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Hacktivist and The Devil Wears Prada.

Other acts joining the lineup include Australia’s very own Northlane, as well as the likes of Alestorm, In Flames, Moose Blood, Touche Amore, Wednesday 13, The King Blues, Devilskin, Trash Boat and State Champs. Catch the full, updated lineup below.

The new Download UK additions join previously announced acts like System Of A Down, Aerosmith, Biffy Clyro, Slayer, Prophets Of Rage and AFI.

Plans are currently in motion to bring Download Festival to Australia for the first time later this year, so the event’s UK lineup (and killer Spain lineup) are good predictors of the kinds of acts we might eventually see down under.

Touring giants Live Nation have also purchased the Australian domain name for Download Festival, but no further details of their plans have since come to light.

Download Festival UK takes place this June at at Donington Park in Derbyshire. Catch the full lineup and festival dates, below.
