Babymetal To Host Their Own Music Festival With Male & Female-Only Shows

Babymetal blasted onto our radios and into our ear in 2016 with their huge single ‘Karate’, and less than a year later they’ve announced their very own music festival.

The metal/J-Pop trio, who’ve recently played live shows alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers and Guns N’ Roses, will put on shows as part of their Five Fox Festival in Japan, but with some super weird entry criteria.

As their website states, various dates are set to be held for specific categories including age, dress code and gender. There’ll be shows just for men, just for women, and one just for school kids and people 60 years old or over.

Other shows require attendees to wear “corpse paint” to be admitted.

“Please make sure that all of the conditions are met before you make the [ticket] purchase,” says the announcement. “In the case that the purchaser does not meet the specific conditions and wins the ticket, we reserve the right to refuse admittance.”
