Since it hit number 1 in pretty much every country on earth including Australia, it’s safe to assume that a lot of people really like the song Uptown Funk (or, at least, they did before they heard it so many times that they started to imagine throwing darts at pictures of Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson’s stupid handsome faces).
But few people like it so much, that they’d voluntarily dedicate three months of their lives to extracting scenes from no less than 280 different Hollywood movies and meticulously sewing them together to recreate the song’s structure, in full.
In fact, there is precisely one person who likes it that much, a YouTube user respectably named dondrapersayswhat, and he or she has just uploaded the fruits of their three month labour for us to behold.
If dondrapersayswhat had the lifespan of a poorly cared-for guinea pig, this could be considered his or her life’s work.
Check out the fabulous video below, featuring performances from characters as diverse as Austin Powers, Beetlejuice, Darth Vader, the evil leprechaun from Leprechaun and all of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (the originals, not the shitty Michael Bay ones).
It’s ridiculawesome.
