Best Coast Australian Tour Dates 2013 – Falls Festival Sideshows

Written by Mike Hohnen on October 2, 2012

Already locked in to perform at both Falls and Southbound Festivals, Best Coast have now announced two headlining sideshows taking place while they are in town. The band will be keeping things on the East Coast this time round, only stopping in Sydney and Melbourne.

Best Coast are no strangers to our shores and will be greeted by a massive fan base upon their arrival. But it’s not just here that the band is considerably loved, it’s a universal trend. Headlining tours throughout North America, Europe and the UK as well as Australia, Best Coast was also included in Metallica’s Orion Music + More debut, not to mention hitting the late night TV circuit.

2012 brought something even bigger than all of that: the band’s sophomore release The Only Place. Recorded and produced with Jon Brion (Kanye West, Fiona Apple) at the helm, the album saw the band strip back some of the fuzz and hone in on a much crisper, more sophisticated approach to their music – something that industry and fans picked up on. Soon after its release, The Only Place hit US Billboard Charts at #24.

Tickets are probably going to go like hot cakes for this one, so it’s best to get in quickly! Once the band wraps up their shows here, they will be off to support Green Day for their US tour.
