Blink-182 Plan To Go Into The Studio To Record Another Album At The End Of The Year

Blink-182 may be the busiest band in the world right now and it seems they have no plans of stopping.

The band are touring for most of this year and also releasing a deluxe edition of their 2016 record California but they’ve already got their eyes on the next one.

Mark Hoppus spoke to Beats 1‘s Zane Lowe as they premiered new song ‘Misery’ off the deluxe edition and also revealed the band’s plans for 2017.

While they will be touring in the US and the UK for much of the year, Hoppus said, “At the end of this year we’ll go back in the studio and start writing the next album.”

“We have such a positive energy going on right now and everybody has a bunch of ideas so we want to capture that.”

Lowe also asked Hoppus about former Blink member Tom DeLonge’s comments that he could rejoin the band if he wanted but Hoppus basically shrugged them off.

“Blink has had a tumultous past but this is where we are right now,” he said vaguely.

The deluxe edition of California will feature 10 new songs and is due for release on 19th May. You can hear his whole interview with Lowe here.
