Bring Me The Horizon Cancel This Evening's Adelaide Show

UPDATE 27/09/16: Bring Me The Horizon have rescheduled their Melbourne and Adelaide dates for February next year.

UPDATE 22/09/2016: Bring Me The Horizon have cancelled the remaining shows on their Australian tour after frontman Oli Sykes failed to recover from his illness.

ORIGINAL STORY: Bring Me The Horizon have been forced to abruptly cancel their show this evening at the AEC Theatre in Adelaide.

The band are currently in the middle of their Australian tour, but due to a viral infection picked up by singer Oli Sykes; they’ve officially called off their Tuesday night show.

The band released a statement a short time ago.

“Unfortunately we have no choice but to cancel tonight’s show in Adelaide. Oli has a viral infection which has caused his throat to become very infected and he is hardly able to speak, let alone sing. We have been looking forward to coming back to Adelaide since 2013 and we’re genuinely gutted about this, this tour has been one of the best tours we’ve been involved with and the crowds have been unbelievable.

“We wanted nothing more than to perform tonight but when it’s physically impossible to sing then our hands are tied. We are so sorry for this and we hope you understand we have done everything we possibly can in the last 48hrs to make this show happen.We will make this up to you as soon as we possibly can Adelaide.”

Ticketholders who purchased tickets via credit or debit card will have their refunds automatically processed. All other ticketholders will be contacted via phone in the next 7 days. Further enquiries to be directed to Ticketek.

Bring Me The Horizon will still play the final shows on their tour in Melbourne this Thursday, 22nd and Friday, 23rd September as scheduled.
