Chelsea Wolfe Australian Tour Announced For November

Written by Mike Solo on September 19, 2012

California native Chelsea Wolfe has announced her first ever Australian tour. Having been creating doom-laden electric folk music since 2009, it was in that year she made her presence known as a singer/songwriter by touring Europe with a nomadic performance troupe playing music in various cathedrals, basements, galleries and old nuclear plants.

She’s since taken her band, along with her two albums of material, out on the road, sharing her tales of dark yet beautiful lyrical poetry to open arms across Europe and the US, leaving behind a long line of sold-out shows and critical acclaim.

In October, US label Sargent House (home to Russian Circles and Boris) will be releasing an album of Chelsea Wolfe acoustic material, recordings of new songs and others that she’s been working on and presenting intermittently at various solo shows over the years.

Special guests on this tour will be the Melbourne post-punk/goth five-piece Heirs, who have just released their new album Hunter.
