Chris Brown’s Australian Tour Has Been Officially Cancelled

Chris Brown‘s forthcoming Australian tour has been officially canned, following a storm of drama surrounding his admittance in to the country.

In the face of a petition calling for him to be barred from entering Australia and the Federal Government officially notifying him of their plans to deny him a Visa on the grounds of his prior domestic violence convictions, Brown had still been refusing to throw in the towel, hiring lawyers, boasting on social media that the whole thing was just “media & bullshit” and even promising to help raise awareness about domestic violence if he was permitted to cross our borders.

But now, it seems, his efforts have been unsuccessful, with his tour promoters issuing an official statement to confirm that Breezy’s One Hell Of A Nite Tour – which was due to kick off next week – won’t be going ahead.

“The shows scheduled at Perth Arena on 9 December, Rod Laver Arena on 12 December, Allphones Arena on 14 December and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 16 December are cancelled,” the statement reads.

“Mr Brown and the promoters both remain positive that the tour will take place in the near future.

“Mr Brown wishes to express his deepest gratitude to the fans for their support and looks forward to a successful tour in the near future.”

Brown’s New Zealand tour dates have also been flushed down the toilet and, at the time of writing, the R&B singer has yet to issue a statement of his own regarding their cancellation/possible postponement.

Full refunds for Brown’s cancelled 2015 Australian tour are available via Ticketek.
