Donald Glover Makes A Surprise Return To Saturday Night Live Just Two Weeks After His Groundbreaking Performance

Just two weeks after his historic performance of ‘This Is America’ and ‘Saturday’ on the Saturday Night Live stage, Donald Glover made a surprise return to the show in host Tina Fey’s monologue.

Fey, who of course used to be a head writer at the show, unleashed a huge, star-studded monologue that featured legends like Jerry Seinfeld, Robert DeNiro, Anne Hathaway, Fred Armisen and more.

Towards the end, Glover, who worked with Fey as a writer and executive story editor on 30 Rock, pops up and asks Fey if she’s seen his hat that he left at the studio a few weeks ago. He also let her know that he has a system in place to tell if anyone has worn it.

Glover has completely dominated since his SNL performance, with his video for ‘This Is America’ being all anyone has spoken about. The song broke Drake’s 15-week streak at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also is currently sitting at #1 on the ARIA charts.

The musical guest on this weekend’s episode was Nicki Minaj, whose performance has garnered criticism regarding cultural appropriation.
