DZ Deathrays Have Launched Their Own Beer Called ‘Pils N Thrills’

Queensland’s most rock ‘n’ roll duo DZ Deathrays have teamed up with Young Henrys to launch their own beer brilliantly named ‘Pils N Thrills’ beer.

DZ Deathrays have sunk the odd beverage in their time but this is their first professional foray into the beer world. Adopting the title of top beer executives Shane Parsons and Simon Ridley will launch the beer at the The Blurst Of Times festival in Brisbane this weekend.

The pair will be pouring their own brew at the festival and are suitably stoked about their new venture.

“Tried home brewing, tasted like piss… tried buying beer at the pub, too expensive… brewed 86 kegs of ‘Pils n Thrills’ with Young Henrys to have beer on tap, so to speak, and we might actually pull this one off,” said Parsons.

The brew is a limited release Czech pilsner which apparently goes down a treat according to Young Henrys co-founder Oscar McMahon. He says it’s a stripped back, classic, compact malt which may sound a little complicated for the casual beer drinker but apparently it’s not.

“No gimmicks here mate, it’s brewed to be enjoyed fast, fun and loud,” he said which makes it sound a lot like DZ’s music.

Blurst Of Times is set to go down this Saturday, 16th April and the boys will be pouring Pils N Thrills from 5 to 6pm in the beer garden.
