Falls Festival 2012/2013 Lineup Announced

Written by Brayden Darke on July 3, 2012

The feeling of summertime is almost upon us with the announcement of the Falls Festival 2012/2013 lineup for late December. Just like last year, it looks as though the lineup will get several small announcements after today’s initial list of bands that will be playing, eventually growing to 80 acts.

The ticket ballot is now officially open, and will remain so for the next few weeks. So if you want to lock down Falls Festival amongst your plans for this New Year’s Eve, you’ll want to get in quickly and get your name in the barrel as soon as possible. Both Lorne and Marion Bay sold out last year.

We should also expect the Boogie Night and Arts programme to be announced in the coming months as well. Boogie Night offers an extra night of boogying before the event officially starts, and The Village will return with morning yoga sessions, samba classes, circus workshops, puppetry, burlesque and comedy acts for something a little different to do while you’re there.

Marion Bay will continue this year after philanthropist Graeme Wood came to the rescue a few months ago. Lack of funding from the Tasmanian government saw Wood jump in to donate a confidential sum of money to the festival every year.
