Father John Misty Tells Aussie Crowd He’s Mixing A New Album Next Week

Written by Tom Williams on July 24, 2017

Father John Misty (real name Josh Tillman) has revealed to a crowd in Sydney that he’s preparing to mix a new album next week, as the follow-up to this year’s Pure Comedy. What’s more, he’s joked about a very tongue-in-cheek title.

“When’s my next album? Next year,” Tillman told the crowd at Sydney’s Metro Theatre last night.

“I’m mixing it next week,” he added, before jokingly saying, “It’s called Pure Comedy 2.” Watch Music Feeds‘ footage of the moment, below.

Tillman also told his Sydney crowd that he’ll be returning to Sydney in February 2018, after he said last week that he would be back in Australia later this year.

Tillman performs in Melbourne tonight, at his last of two Splendour In The Grass sideshows.
