Frances Bean Cobain Makes Solo Music Debut With Jimmy Eat World Cover

The spawn of rock royals Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, Frances Bean Cobain has made her solo music debut at the age of 23, taking to Instagram to post a brief cover of a Jimmy Eat World classic.

Armed with just an acoustic guitar, Cobain takes to Jimmy Eat World’s coming-of-age anthem The Middle, which surely now has proven to be the most relatable song of all time. Of course, Cobain shows total control over her axe and some impressive goddamn chops (and not just X Factor agreeable), but with a lil’ bit of unique flavour, ja feel?

Video of Cobain’s cover (below) was shared by her mother Love a day after it first emerged, with the added commented, “I know your father is very proud of this as am I baby, I love you to the moon and back.”

The video itself is aptly titled ‘Fred Flintstone sings 4 seconds of The Middle by Jimmy Eat World’ so it could very likely be just a throwaway post, but it’s still great.

Cobain appeared on Amanda Palmer’s 2010 collaborative album Evelyn Evelyn, but other than that has avoided drawing attention to her musical talents until now.
