Frank Ocean To Hold Off New Material Until Mid-2014

Written by Mike Hohnen on October 15, 2013

The whole world might be gagging for new material from the prodigiously gifted Frank Ocean but, according to the Odd Future success story himself, we will have to wait until at least summer in the northern hemisphere before any offerings will surface.

Taking to his personal Tumblr page, Ocean responded to a fan’s inquiry regarding a follow up to the uber successful Channel ORANGE stating, “When summer comes round again.” Being in the southern hemisphere, simple mathematics informs us that means our winter time.

It’s been a crazy ride to the top for Ocean, who released Channel ORANGE just last year so we’re guessing there’s no shortage of inspiration for new material. Recently, the hip hop crooner recalled his wayward past, revealing in an interview that he us to sell cocaine and crack “all the time” suggesting maybe some more cathartic experience?

Ocean was in town not too long ago for Splendour In The Grass. Long story short Lorde’s career took off.
