Franz Ferdinand New Album Collaborators Revealed

NME has revealed some of the artists that helped out on Franz Ferdinand’s upcoming album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action. Collaborators include Peter Bjorn and John member Bjorn Yttling, electronic solo artist Todd Terje, and Veronica Falls singer/guitarist Roxanne Clifford.

On recording with Bjorn Yttling, Franz Ferdinand frontman, Alex Kapranos, said he wanted the indie rock bassist to work on the new album because he understood what Franz Ferdinand is about:

“When we were first writing the LP, I met up with Bjorn in Newcastle. We were talking about recording, and he asked what we wanted to sound like. I said, ‘I want to sound like Franz Ferdinand,’ then he said, ‘Oh, a cross between Dr Feelgood and Daft Punk?’ And I thought, ‘I like this guy – he gets it. We should record with him.'”

Franz Ferdinand hasn’t been stingy in letting fans hear the new material. The band has played several tracks from their upcoming album live, including Treason! Animals, Evil Eye, and Right Action.

Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action will be the fourth studio album from Franz Ferdinand and will be released in on Friday, 23rd August.

Franz Ferdinand are expected to tour Australia in November and seem a sure thing to join the line-up for Harvest Festival 2013
