Gang Of Youths have dropped the first single from their recently-announced new album Go Farther In Lightness.
The newbie, titled ‘What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out?’, is an epic five minutes of festival-ready rock’n’roll, complete with some Arcade Fire, Bruce Springsteen and, well, Gang Of Youths vibes.
Earlier this week, Gang Of Youths frontman Dave Le’aupepe said Go Farther In Lightness was largely recorded while the band toured the world last year, and is now around 95 per cent complete.
Le’aupepe also revealed that the band are relocating to London before the album is released on 18th August, which means they’re leaving Australia indefinitely. Gang Of Youths won’t be gone for too long, though. As Le’aupepe said, “It’s still the best country on the planet so there’s no way we’re going to leave it permanently.”
