HEIRS announce ‘Hunter’ Australian Tour For May

Written by Mike Solo on May 3, 2012

After the success of the Alcest/Heirs “Le Secret” Australian tour in October 2011, Heirs are back again touring the East Coast of Australia in May 2012 to support their latest release, Hunter.

Heirs’ live show is renowned for its captivating focus and oppressive atmosphere. Their dark artistic noisescapes and gothic aesthetic is accompanied with live video projection, culminating in an unsettling and unforgettable experience.

Three of the shows on this tour will be in-store appearances, where the band will perform The Sisters of Mercy’s Never Land (the B-side of their ‘Hunter’ 10″) for the first and only time in its entirety, plus a visual display by Exotic Corpse.

I first saw the band at Progfest 2009 during their tour with
Eleventh He Reaches London
. They (along with Melbourne brethren The Night Terrors) have been working really hard since then, quietly building a following by touring both Australia and Europe numerous times. This is Heirs last headlining tour of Australia before embarking on their third European tour in September 2012.
