James Blunt Announces 2018 Australian Tour

Written by Emmy Mack on August 31, 2017

Daddy’s home, gang. The great man James Blunt has announced that he will once again grace the lucky country of Australia with his presence in 2018.

The angel-voiced King Of Twitter shall make a pilgrimage to our shores in March next year, to perform a series of live dates guaranteed to melt the hearts of mums nationwide, appearing at two special indoor shows in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as a bunch of outdoor shows for the A Day On The Green concert series.

The ‘Beautiful’ tune wizard will be joined for his headlining dates by Aussie singer-songwriter Morgan Evans, while the A Day On The Green tour lineup — which is set to hit wineries and gardens in the NSW Hunter Valley, QLD’s Mt. Cotton, VIC’s Rutherglen and Perth’s King Park & Botanic Garden — shall be rounded out by Aussie faves Pete Murray, Busby Marou, Alex Lloyd and Karise Eden.

“Australia has always been the most fun part of every world tour I’ve ever done, and the fans at the shows have always given me the warmest of welcomes. I can’t wait to get back,” Blunt says.

The sultan of self-depreciation is beloved Australia-wide following his stint as an X-Factor judge, not to mention shooting the video for his single ‘Don’t Give Me Those Eyes’ at Sydney’s own Warriewood Beach.

He’s making his triumphant return to our shores under the banner of the Afterlove Tour (styled after his new album of the same name, whose arrival Blunt announced to the world via the fabulous tweet: “If you thought 2016 was bad… I’m releasing an album in 2017″).

And now he’s headed down under in 2018!
