Marilyn Manson has revealed that Johnny Depp and his 9-year-old son will feature on his new album Born Villain. Manson told MTV that Depp recorded drums and lead guitar on a bonus track that will feature on the new album.
The track is rumoured to be a cover version of Carly Simon’s You’re So Vain.
In the interview with MTV, Manson said:
We did a cover version together of a song which we thought was ironic for each other. He played drums and lead guitar, and I played guitar and sang. It’s a bonus track on my record and the video will probably be us looking at each other like a mirror.
Johnny’s son Jack whose birthday I’m gonna be performing at was in the room and he actually played on the song too. It’s pretty cool.
Marilyn Manson recently completed a horror tour of Australia, which saw him receive a number of bad reviews for his sloppy performance. You can check out some YouTube footage here.
Marilyn Manson’s new album Born Villain will be released on April 30th worldwide.
